By using Identity Forge ("the app"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

1. What Identity Forge Is

Identity Forge is a journaling and self-reflection tool. It uses mathematical algorithms to help you notice patterns in your writing. It is not therapy, medical advice, or a substitute for professional mental health care.

2. Your Content

Everything you write in the app belongs to you
Your content stays on your device
We do not access, read, or store your journal entries
You are responsible for backing up your own data

3. Subscriptions

Free tier: Core journaling features are free
Pro tier: Advanced insights and analysis features require a paid subscription
Subscriptions are billed through Apple App Store or Google Play
Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your device's subscription settings
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google per their respective policies

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
Use the app for any illegal purpose
Attempt to access other users' data (there is none on our servers, but still)
Redistribute or resell the app

5. Disclaimers

Not medical advice: The insights, patterns, and observations generated by Identity Forge are based on mathematical analysis of your writing. They are not diagnoses, prescriptions, or professional recommendations. Always consult a qualified mental health professional for clinical concerns.

As-is: The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do our best to make it accurate and helpful, but we cannot guarantee that every insight will be correct or useful.

Data loss: Because your data is stored only on your device, we are not responsible for data loss due to device failure, app deletion, or other causes. We recommend periodically reflecting on and noting important insights outside the app.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Identity Forge and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months preceding any claim.

7. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
